Hay can be used as animal fodder when or where there is not enough pasture or rangeland on which to graze an animal, when grazing is unavailable due to weather (such as during the winter) or when lush pasture by itself is too rich for the health of the animal. It is also fed during times when an animal is unable to access pasture, such as when animals are kept in a stable or barn.
"Hay" is the lead single from Crucial Conflict's debut album, The Final Tic. Produced by member Wildstyle, "Hay" became the group's only charting single and their breakthrough hit, peaking at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Hot Rap Singles chart. The single was certified gold by the RIAA on July 18, 1996, and helped the album reach gold status less than two months later.
It appears to have a sample of Funkadelic's "I'll Stay" from the album Standing on the Verge of Getting It On.
